Measurement technologies for emerging microwave heating processes.
Exploiting the many facets of microwave processing requires a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the underlying chemical and physical processes of materials at molecular level. A comprehensive understanding of these correlations requires new and complex instruments and measurement capabilities. This talk describes the development of microwave instrumentation for observation of the structure properties relationship for materials under microwave exposure.

Microwave Energy Application Consult
Limited overview of microwave applications in the Benelux.

Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research (DIFFER)
The use nonequilibrium plasma chemistry to improve kinetics and selectivity of chemical transformations.

University of Nottingham
The use of dielectric spectroscopy for process monitoring and optimization.
Industry is currently faced with the need to significantly reduce energy consumption, reduce environmental impact, improve sustainability and be more innovative in its approaches. These clear drivers offer significant but highly challenging opportunities for the creation of exciting and novel science and technology. This talk will present a series of dielectric property studies along with the most common used techniques used for this purpose and will demonstrate the applicability of dielectric spectroscopy for use in extreme environments and as tool to monitor and optimise live processes in real time.
